Kevin Raymond is an art teacher at a small school near Letchworth State Park. He got involved in ballooning through crewing for a local balloon company. After many summers chasing, he started taking lessons, bought a balloon and obtained his private hot air balloon license. He and his wife Barb live in the small rural town of Pike, NY and recently welcomed their first child this past spring. When the winds are right you can find him flying either a colorful Aerostar RX7 or a homebuilt Boland AX4 ultralight. He enjoys the peaceful serenity of flying and the challenge of navigating one of the most beautiful parts of NYS.
Kevin is a private pilot - and is not available for public flights.

Bill Huges, a former Navy pilot, with over 9,000 hours of flying everything from jets to helicopters, got into ballooning in 1970. He helped Malcomb Forbes make a transcontinental flight across the US in 1973. The FAA named him a Pilot Examiner and Safety counselor. Each year he serves as Balloonmeister for several events, including the Adirondack Balloon Festival for 25 years, with a perfect safety record. He has flown competitively throughout the US, Canada, Europe, and Japan, winning numerous events.
During the winter months, when the weather is rarely suitable for flying, Bill dons his instructor hat and travels the US ,preparing students for their FAA pilot written examinations. This second business, Liberty Balloon School, has trained over 2700 students across 33 states in the past 26 years....

Originally a native of Italy, Mario DiStefano grew up in Rochester, New York, where he attended public and parochial schools before joining the Navy. After completing his tour of duty for the Navy, Mario returned to Rochester, where he joined the Xerox Corporation and attended Rochester Institute of Technology.
Mario began his insurance career in 1965. Dennis Molinari and A. Mario Di Stefano have been friends since Mario started Dennis in the business in 1970. When Dennis needed help to evolve his agency to other levels, Mario agreed to help. After being around the Molinari Insurance Agency for a few months, it seemed a good idea for Mario to stay around. Thus, a new arm was added to the agency, providing advanced services and products for its clients and assistance in growing the Agency.
July of 1978, a friend introduced Mario to Ballooning. He started Bella Via Balloon Company in 1982, had a mid-life crisis in 1985, and went Ballooning full time. Mario is well known by many in Worcester County through his insurance notoriety and Balloon experiences. Mario became one of the most popular Balloonists in communities in the Northeast United States and Canada and has made thousands of friendships.
Bella Via offers flights in New England and Sicily, Italy. They can be contacted at:

Steven K. Flanders, a native of Rome, New York, has been flying for fun as a private pilot since 2008. He can frequently be seen in the skies over Munnsville, New York in his Firefly balloon “Aussie Heir”, named in honor of his late Australian mother, Thyra. Hooked after his first balloon flight in 2006, Steven actively pursued his quest to fly as a pilot to enjoy the peace and solitude that hot air ballooning provides. When not in the air, Steven works as an investment management consultant with The Seneca Group of Morgan Stanley Smith Barney in Syracuse, New York.

"Balloon Rides Over Syracuse" began life as "Adventure Air". The name was changed to Balloon Rides Over Syracuse in response to the changing needs of our customers and the region we fly in, the suburbs of Syracuse and eastern Onondaga County.
As Adventure Air, and now as Balloon Rides Over Syracuse, we have been providing balloon rides, sales, and service in Onondaga County for over 25 years. Our parent company, LTA Aviation, provides inspection and repair services to pilots in New York, Pennsylvania, and New Jersey.
Your pilot, Bob Grandinetti, has an extensive background in aviation. In addition to having logged over 1600 hours flying hot air balloons, Bob has logged over 5000 hours flying airplanes. As an FAA licensed balloon pilot, Bob is qualified to provide instruction to those who want to earn their pilot's license.
Bob has spent nearly all his life flying balloons, airplanes, helicopters, and gliders. He also worked for many years as a skydiving instructor.
Also, Bob is certificated by the FAA as an "Airframe and Powerplant" (A&P) Mechanic.
