Engagement Sessions

We love Engagement photo shoots at Wolf Oak Acres - and host them here constantly! It's such an beautiful feeling to see two young people so obviously in love, and spending time capturing their feelings and emotions when they are newly engaged. Here are a few suggestions from Tom Studios Photography on how to handle your photo shoot on that day!

Location: We suggest to pick a place that may have special meaning, such as the where you met, had a first date, proposed, or just had a fun memory.

Clothing: Pick something that you are comfortable in. Try to have at least one causal and one formal. This will give a great variety to the final images.

Hair and Makeup: It is by no means a necessity. If you have a makeup artist for your wedding, a great idea is to use your makeup trial run, for your engagement session.

Scheduling: We like to suggest to schedule about an hour and a half before sunset. Sunset light is the best for photographs.

Props : Feel free to bring props! Anything that may have a special meaning is always great. You can bring props to represent your wedding date so you can use the image for your save the dates.

This is the opportune time to work together and get to know your photographer(s) before your main event. Be creative, have fun and make it memorable!
